Well to day is my 48th birthday !!!
so not knowing what I'm going to write
Here we go ....
WRINKLED
When I was born
I was pink and wrinkled
wiggling into my parents hearts
When I grew into my teens
I wrinkled my nose, thinking
it would attract a certain boy
when I was in my twenties
I spent hours in a hot bath
until I came out wrinkled
When I was in my thirties
I couldn't stand it at all
if my clothes were wrinkled
Now here I am in my forties
and every time I look
I'm getting more wrinkled
Wonder what the next forty years will bring !!

I used to think like that but why worry what you have no control over, It's the YOU INSIDE that people see.Loved the poem.

I love this poem, JL! You captured the wrinkles of every age perfectly. Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day today! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday from someone else who is starting to see new wrinkles regularly.
ReplyDeleteWrinkles and more wrinkles. You should see me, but it's all part of the aging thing. Great poem as usual!
