OURS IS....
UPWARD

When I'm tired of life
and feeling so low...
I look upward

When happiness surrounds
my heart and soul...
I look upward

I raise my hands
and sing in praise
for I know I am
in His loving grace

When my weakness shows
from all of life's woes...
I look upward

When my end is here
I'll have no fear...
I'll look upward

I raise my hands
and sing in praise
for I know I am
in His loving grace

25. Write a poem where a literary figure shows up and tells you something and gives you something.
OURS IS....

Shakespeare came to me in a dream
holding the secrets I've longed to know
he told me it is easier than it seems
then with painted words he did show

He spoke in riddles yet I could see
the gifts he was trying to bestow
and before too long it came to me
that it is all how the words flow

He felt he'd done what he came to do
and he began to fade in a mist
and though the dream was all through
there still was a bit of a twist

seems as I dreamt I wrote it down
yet I'd never done that before
my writing sure made my husband frown
for it was written on my kitchen floor !!

Tee hee hee... I wish !!

24. Write a poem that has the word “love” hidden in it somewhere. But you cannot use the word “love” by itself, it must be hidden (such as in the word “glove” or in two words like “halo venom”).

OURS IS...

STRANGELOVE

Seeing the paloverde
we had to pullover
it was in the clover
with foxglove near a pond
slovenliness with beauty
and as the killdeer plover sang
we knew we found strangelove
our happiness did spillover
