Sand sculptures on seashores
Soothing waves slapping shores
sending children screeching
sandaled feet sinking slowly
sucked down in salt waters
starving artists seeking attention
sand castles on shinning shores
sculptures slowly taking shape
sharks and surfers sharing spotlights
sunshine sparkling on sand
stylishly stunning displays
simple sweet summer days
of shimmery silvery seascapes

Living near the sea I thought this just wonderful, I could visualise your words.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
I loved this one, JL! Really nice job! :-)

ReplyDeleteI love this one. You have a great writing talent. You can put anything together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Way better than she sells sea shells down by the sea shore. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great poem! I live 8 miles from the beach and have many wonderful memories of our times spent camping, fishing, surfing and of course eating at the seashore :-)
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a nice Easter :-)

I'm impressed that you managed to use all those S words and still write a beautiful poem. Stopping by from A to Z.
ReplyDeleteI could really picture this in my mind. What a great job! And the fact that you were able to incorporate so many S words without detracting from the flow of the poem made it even better.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love this! Makes me wish I still lived near the water!
ReplyDeleteWonderful poem! I'm so glad I found your blog. I'm stopping by from the A to Z challenge and I look forward to visiting again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece - it makes me eager for the summer season. So many great images, and the sibilance of all those "s"s, sort of gives it the feel, the constant hissing and crashing of waves in the background. Wonderful.
