NaPoWriMo: 30 NEW Writing Prompts for National Poetry Month 2011

15. Write a poem that describes the wallpaper on your computer or the image on the last postcard you received.

OURS IS...

VALENTINE RASCLE

A childless mother is what I am
for my body has long since been barren
but mother to her, pet lovers understand,
so I snap shots of her with my Cannon

One of my favorite things to do
is to get her in a pose
though most times I have no luck
she usually turns up her nose...

But this time I was luckier
than most times I had tried
I used a flower to pull her out
of the place she likes to hide

So as her attention was drawn in
her image I did capture
now it is my wallpaper
I really love her stature

Love my baby girl !!
YOUR TURN
ENJOY

  1. Hi JL, I was wondering, how did you find out about the 30 writing prompts for the poetry challenge? I'm always looking for inspiration for creative ways to make posts.
I really like this photo btw, the way she's sitting in the sun. Your poem is perfect. =)
